My Project
We are very fortunate to have two rooms to utilize for our Concert Bands and other Band ensembles. However, one of the rooms was designed as a dance studio/choral space, which lacks the proper sound proofing for a larger ensemble with louder instruments. Although the students use hearing protection for their heath, the use of such minimizes their ability to listen and blend throughout the ensemble, which alters their performance experience.
Our goal is to collect funds to purchase sound proofing panels, which will allow us a healthier and efficient learning space.
Our students' needs are important and this is a high one we are looking to resolve. These band students work diligently and are passionate about the craft they produce. We are searching to give them an opportunity to hear themselves and one another better while protecting their ear health.
