My Project

This project is monumental for my students. Since the start of our program, we've always had a "sound" problem at our school. Due to this problem; we have always worked with a local company to bring in sound for our show, performances and more. But now after a long time - we want to get our own new and updated "portable" sound system.

Being that we are a low-income city school, we rarely get enough funding to accommodate all expenses for a drama program or class.

This system will be a game-changer for our students. Not only will it be used for school and drama performances, but (because it can break down and be moved to different locations) students will also train and work on the system to understand and learn how it works in a classroom setting. This will greatly push our technical theater curriculum immensely. It will also give our students a chance to make money and understand work-ethic, as we plan to rent out our system and have students work the system for different events.

As I've stated before this project is monumental and will give my students great tools to work with and become better and stronger thespians.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
