This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The inflation has made many basic items unaffordable, such as required headphones for our online curriculum as well as state testing. Unfortunately, with budget cuts, schools cannot afford to supply a class set of required headphones.
Family budgets nor teacher salaries have enough left over to buy headphones.
We are a title one school, which means nearly all of our students are living in poverty. Asking parents, guardians, extended family members, and teachers to purchase headphones is not reasonable.
Our curriculum is all online and much of the modules require headphones to hear the materials/lessons. All testing is done online and requires headphones as well.
Headphones will provide a tremendous learning opportunity for all students and definitely enhance the learning.
