"Where we start is not where we will finish," is the perfect statement to describe my students. They are often thought of as troublemakers; however, my students are bright and want to learn. We work hard to dispel that stereotype.
The students in my class are economically challenged.
Despite this set back, I have seen some students come in below grade-level and leave scholars. However, it took a lot of work on their part. My school is in an inner city neighborhood and there are many who believe the only way out is through sports, but I say no.
My Project
During these turbulent times, many students and parents are concerned about their safety went returning to the classroom. I want to ensure that my class is a safe place for myself and most importantly my students. We work hard to provide a complete learning environment that is first of all clean, second a place of peace, and third conducive to learning Mathematics. I will be providing a hand sanitizing routine before entering the class, along with face covering, and also, desk wiping between each class.
This school year all of the students are returning to the classroom.
We are living through some very scary times and if I can do my part by helping to keep my classroom clean then I want to do so. Having a sanitation corner with soap, paper towels, and sanitizer is a great start.
