Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As teachers work hard daily with our students, sometimes the most productive thing you can do is relax or have a place to go to whenever you need to have a meeting or conference with students and parents.
It is important that our teachers and students are able to take a break and relax whenever necessary.
It's also important that there is a designated area for staff to go to for meetings/conferences when needed. Our school is 92% social economically disadvantaged and has a very large SPED dept., which means many of our students may need extra support or attention from our staff.
Last year we had 3 principal changes which caused much stress on our staff and students. This year we have a wonderful principal who truly and genuinely cares about the culture, climate, and growth of our school. Being able to give our teachers, staff, students and parents a place to take a deep breath, relax a few minutes or hold an important meeting can make all the difference in our students learning. Our students and staff deserve to have a place to go to to feel safe and comfortable when in a time of need.
My Project
Sometimes everyone needs a place of peace and tranquility or a place of privacy. Being a low income campus can have some major challenges, but with your support we can make a difference.
As times are changing we have realized that having a quiet place to go to can make a all the difference in a person's day.
Providing a safe and quiet place allows for our campus to connect that much more, not only with our staff and students, but with our families, and reassuring them they have made the best choice and trusting our campus with their children.
