As a teacher at a Title I (low income) school, my students face challenges both at school and at home. It is my goal each day to give them learning experiences that bring a personal connection to what they learn. This connection helps them to see that their challenging circumstances can be overcome with hard work. I strive to make our classroom a safe place for them where they can flourish and find success.
My 5th-grade students are a diverse group of hard-working students that come from a wide range of backgrounds, learning levels, and abilities.
They are English language learners, below grade level learners, above grade-level learners, and more. It is my responsibility to provide each student with a learning experience that reaches them at their level, their interest, and their learning style. Thankfully, my students are wonderful role models and work together despite these differences. In fact, they work together, they support one another and learn from each other.
Our class has a very diverse group of learners. Among them are some learners that require movement to be able to focus. For them, this movement helps them focus and connect to what they are learning.
A yoga ball seat will help my movement needed learners get what they need in a quiet way that will not disrupt their fellow learners.
As a teacher, meeting the needs of all my students is my ultimate goal. These yoga ball seats will allow me to do that. By meeting the needs of all my students, I give them all the best opportunity to grow and achieve.
