My Students
My students come from across our urban school district. More than half are 1st or 2nd generation Americans, and many will be the first in their family to go to college. In fact, nearly 99% of our students go to college. I am so proud of how reflective, hardworking, and curious they are.
My students are on the road to making a positive impact in their community, country, and world.
In the meantime, our school's goal is to provide them with 21st century skills to help them do so.
My Project
Sometimes things break or run out. Other times an inexpensive item just makes life easier. For instance, our new language lab uses old headphones, and some adapters are needed. A little bit of tape goes a long way in displaying projects. For events, display stands come in hand for descriptions or directions. How about the end-of-the-year honor roll luncheon when there aren't enough supplies to serve ice cream? Or the small classroom with insufficient lighting that needs a lamp to brighten up those dark winter days. Having these few supplies will help students thrive in an environment that needs a boost to help things run smoothly.
