Something Smells Fishy: Materials To Grow Living Experiments

Help me give my students an opportunity for Marine Biology labs and experiments with living fish, bacteria, and other aquatic organisms!

My Project

Living in a landlocked state can make it very difficult to teach one of my main classes: Marine Biology. By providing them with fish tanks (already owned), students are able to create and maintain complete miniature ecosystems with living fish, living bacteria, and living plants!

Helping students to maintain these ecosystems, they will be able to see how energy systems are affected by changing variables that they will measure themselves.

Living plants, aquatic seeds, nutrient balancing, and appropriate tools to cleanup their experiences are what I am asking for in this particular Donors Choose. Help me provide a fun in class experience to replicate something they would be able to do out in the field in states other than mine!
