This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Finding supplies is a struggle all educators are familiar with. Whether it's pencils rapidly disappearing over the course of a few weeks or finding out that the class set of markers has dried out, there is always a need. Of course, we always try to stretch these supplies as far as we can, but that can lead to the chaos of students arguing over the best supplies or having to wait their turns to get their work done because another student has what they need.

When students all have access to their own supplies, they can spend more time engaging with material and content.

Having class sets of items like calculators and rulers will allow more time students to unlock the material without worrying about whether or not they have what they need.
