This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hello Everyone, this project will give my special education students an extra support when we work in small groups. I teach in the resource classroom, meaning all of my students learn in different ways and at different rates. My students struggle with different types of learning disabilities and with learning the English language. The majority of my students come from low-income families and face academic and social-emotional challenges both in and out of school. Regardless of their challenges, they come to school eager to learn and to try their best.

My students learn in unique ways and the quiz cards and centers will help enhance the quality of their learning by providing them with engaging manipulatives.

Our students need practice with learning letter names and letter sounds as well as how to spell simple words. They need practice with learning the numbers, and being able to understand quantity to move on towards adding or substracting. Our students need engaging materials to keep them focused and interested in learning. We choose these materials because of the flexibility it has from reading to math and even learning about life skills. I am eager to use these materials in my classroom because of the independence and confidence it will produce for my students. They will have their own work books to learn to trace letters and numbers. To listen to their letter sounds as well as having them listen to their number counting. These materials will give us that extra support in the classroom.
