The 2nd graders in Room 112 are a very special group of students.
They are kind, generous, and very eager to learn everything. These students attend a Chicago Public School on the West Side of the city, and everyday make the most of what they have. Together, we can give them more of what every kid deserves!
My Project
We need a carpet and headphones - essentials to continue their success in the classroom. These very basic materials will help the students have what they need to succeed. With a nice large classroom rug, the students will be comfortable and have the space to listen, learn, and also read. A rug also provides a place for students to take a much needed sensory break when it is necessary.
The headphones will ensure the students are focused on whatever technology they are using, plus this gives students differentiated instruction - some students may chose to have things read aloud to them online, without distracting others.
They are an easy tool that helps in many different ways!
