My Project
My school has a reading curriculum is very science and social studies heavy. As a third grade team with 100 students we love to have end of unit celebrations whenever possible. These days give students something to look forward to as they are learning new information .It provides an engaging and immersive way to reinforce what they’ve learned.
Transforming the classroom into a space-themed environment—complete with planets, stars, and interactive stations—helps bring abstract concepts to life and encourages deeper understanding through hands-on exploration.
This type of creative, experiential learning not only solidifies key facts about the solar system, such as planetary order, characteristics, and orbits, but also boosts student motivation and excitement. It’s a memorable way to celebrate their hard work and foster curiosity about space and science beyond the curriculum.
