This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Working in a K-8 school allows you to get to know the students who remain in one place for more than a year. On the other hand, a transient population makes it difficult for students to feel comfortable and accepted.

Many students have greater difficulties at home which makes school their safe haven.

The full inclusion model allows students with a range of disabilities to feel welcome and accepted. Even through all the difficulties these students have faced, they all want to succeed.

My Project

These solar powered cars will give students an opportunity to work together after being apart for so long to create a fun solar powered activity.

Fun in the sun will be a different activity for so many who have been trapped inside throughout this pandemic.

Students will enjoy working together (safely of course) to create something that they can be proud of and use over and over again. Activities like these most likely have not been completed by many of these families due to the lack of funds available by parents and or guardians.
