Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We will be starting our new unit on Weather and Water soon. In this unit, we learn all about the solar system and the sun, including how the sun affects the weather and climate on the Earth. One of the basic principles they learn about is solar angle. Building solar cars is an exciting opportunity for my students to put this newfound science knowledge into a real-world use.
In southern Arizona, we get a lot of sun, so the building of solar cars and using solar paper which will allow my students to see solar energy in action, and in a fun way!
