Help me give my students the gift of seeing the solar eclipse! I've been teaching science for almost 17 years and felt like this was an opportunity my students wouldn't want to miss.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We have 400 students at our Title I school, and we’re excited about the opportunity to observe a solar eclipse on April 8th. To enhance this experience, we’re seeking donations of solar eclipse safety glasses for all students. This event will not only allow them to enjoy time outdoors but also demonstrate the reality of science. We plan to prepare by showing a video, engaging in hands-on activities with flashlights and coins, and concluding with a classroom discussion on the solar system’s movements and components. Your support would greatly contribute to this educational initiative!
