My Students
My students are great individuals! They come from diverse backgrounds and many overcome a variety of challenges in their daily life. Many of them enjoy science and love to solve problems. They learn best when they get to experience the topics we are studying firsthand.
My students work hard to learn how to speak and write as scientists in addition to conducting labs and experiments.
We enjoy asking questions and solving problems using science and the application our various life experiences. Each day in the classroom our goal is to become better scientific thinkers!
My Project
The kits in this project include solar cells and DC motors that my students will use in order to design a working solar electric car. We will complete this STEM project as part of our unit about energy transformations and forms of energy.
Clean and renewable energy generation and use, are some of the biggest hurdles facing our society today.
By giving my students access to STEM materials such as solar car design kits, they will be able to fully engage with the topic of energy transformation and utilize important skills such as collaboration and problem solving while working towards mastery of this complex science topic.
