My Project
Every year my students have many Chinese language assessments for instance the AAPPL test and cultural presentations. The test has included listening, reading, writing and speaking parts. At the end of 9th grade, my students will take an AP test. Last year, students used the headphones without microphones. When the whole class started to record their responses on the speaking part of the test, some students’ voices couldn’t be recorded and that affected their scores. They needed to accept the bad score or redo the test. This situation left my students and myself very frustrated.
My students are able to do so many wonderful things to practice on the computer like having books read, playing games to practice their Chinese, and recording their cultural presentations.
With better headsets and online activities, I do believe many students will have a better Chinese learning experience which helps them perform better for different Chinese tests.
