Soggy Stories Need Replacements

Help me give my students books to replace classroom collections damaged by water.

This project is fully funded

My Project

After returning from winter break I discovered 400+ books destroyed by water damage. A pipe burst in the classroom ceiling at the start of winter break and 80% of the books in our classroom library were destroyed.

The library collection was a result of carefully curated books during my 22 years as an educator.

Many of the titles are no longer available. However, many of the students' favorites are easily accessible. Titles like "Pete the Cat", Elephant and Piggie", books by Mo Willems and Eric Carle and classics like "Caps for Sale" and "The Three Billy Goats Gruff" can be replaced. This grant will help to replace some of the students' favorites and bring some normalcy back into the classroom routine.
