My students love to learn and love to be challenged. I teach at a public high school where the teachers are very caring and the students take pride in their school. Our students are hard working and come from very diverse backgrounds. We have a mix of socioeconomic backgrounds and cultures, but that is what makes our school strong. Our differences help unite us.
Students learn that through hard work and perseverance they can accomplish anything.
A very important word our students learn is "yet." "I don't know how to do this yet" or "I don't understand this yet." Our school culture fosters growth and improvement and helps everyone understand that they help determine their own futures. Our students are eager to learn more, even if it means extending their learning opportunities outside of class time.
My Project
Donations to this project will help our high school softball team be able to practice fielding and hitting drills. The batting tee will help tremendously as we break down the fundamentals of the swing. The softballs will help our players practice their skills indoors and outdoors. The buckets will help our equipment stay nice and organized.
The hitting resources we are requesting will help our softball team prepare for competition by allowing us to practice the necessary skills for improvement.
The variety of softballs we are requesting will allow us to practice anywhere, anytime. The soft compression balls allow us to use them indoors and not damage the gym floor.
