Softball Hitting Screens for Success

Help me give my students pitching screens for practices and a heavy duty shelf to store them in the off-season.

My Students

My students love to learn and love to be challenged. I teach at a public high school where the teachers are very caring and the students take pride in their school. Our students are hard working and come from very diverse backgrounds. We have a mix of socioeconomic backgrounds and cultures, but that is what makes our school strong. Our differences help unite us.

Students learn that through hard work and perseverance they can accomplish anything.

A very important word our students learn is "yet." "I don't know how to do this yet" or "I don't understand this yet." Our school culture fosters growth and improvement and helps everyone understand that they help determine their own futures. Our students are eager to learn more, even if it means extending their learning opportunities outside of class time.

My Project

Donations to the project will help our team be able to practice more safely and efficiently. We got a new batting cage last year and we need screens to protect the pitchers. The large barrier net will allow two coaches to pitch at the same time on the field which would allow for two players to hit at once, maximizing our practice time.

These resources will greatly impact our practice efficiency and safety.

Pitchers and coaches will be protected with the screens. The storage shelf will help out keep the screens up and out of the way when not in use. All items will help our players be safe, efficient and organized!

Our pitchers need to get used to throwing to batters and we don't always have a person who can stand in the batter's box. The pitcher training mannequin will help our pitchers gain confidence and accuracy as they work on their skills. The carrying bags for all of the screens will be helping as we will be able to transport and store our screens.
