South High School is an inner-city school in Worcester, Massachusetts. Students at South are free and reduced lunch. We have a very diverse population and a constant influx of students who are new not only to the school but also to the country.
This project will help provide the equipment needed for students to participate in softball even without the fiscal means.
This project is full of items that students and peers could access at local sporting goods stores. These student-athletes who otherwise would not participate will have to access to gloves, bats, balls and practice equipment that their peers in the school and community will also be using.
