Soft Sounds

My Students

My classroom, located in Sumrall, MS, consists of 20 kindergartners ranging from ages 5 to 6. All of my students enjoy learning and are eager to participate in whole group, small group, and independent activities.

We begin and end each day with small group centers.

Our small group centers provide my students with access to differentiated learning activities that help meet the various learning styles and levels of each individual student.

My students are in need of soft, cushioned headphones. This will provide a more comfortable learning experience when using the Chromebook and iPad centers.

My Project

My students participate in centers daily. Within their centers, students use iPads and Chromebooks for individualized enrichment and remediation. In addition to promoting student growth within the classroom, the iPad and Chromebook centers provide students with practice for statewide assessments.

Currently, my students are using plastic/rubber headphones with no cushion and these are uncomfortable on their ears causing students to lose focus on the task at hand.

The cushioned headphones will provide a more comfortable learning experience for all of my students. This will allow them to enjoy the iPad and Chromebook center while promoting growth in both the classroom and statewide assessments.
