My Students

I love my students' enthusiasm for learning. They are so curious about the world around them and enjoy working together. They are so eager to increase their skills in reading, writing, and math! Waterville used to be a booming city, cut when many of our paper/cotton mills went out of business, people moved to larger cities where jobs were more plentiful. Today, Waterville is very impoverished and our students don't have many resources such as computers, backpacks, winter clothing, and much much more.

My Project

We have had to get rid of a lot of furniture in our classrooms due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to practice social distancing, these mats would help with keep our students six feet apart and safe.

The tri-folders would be used to transport homework to and from home/school and would make it easier for parents if the materials were in one folder.

I also love that they can be wiped down and sanitized daily.

All the changes that have occurred due to the pandemic has been difficult for educators. These items will make learning and teaching easier.
