Socially Distanced and Safe Flexible Seating

My Students

My class is made up of 27 beautifully diverse students. Each student brings a different perspective and personality to the classroom. They are talented in their own ways and each contribute to our classroom to make it the wonderful place that it is!

My Project

In order to keep my students safe and socially distanced, students are sitting in very traditional, "lecture-style" seating. Although I know this is not best for learning, I need to keep students as safe as possible in my classroom. With the addition of modified, COVID friendly flexible seating, my students will be able to wiggle and move during instruction, which increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength.

Research shows that flexible seating helps keep young minds more alert and focused.
