My Project
My students are some of the hardest working students I have ever had. They are creative thinkers, writers, and investigators of knowledge.
I have a diverse population of Kindergarten to 3rd-grade students from a variety of backgrounds.
I have had students from Mexico, the Marshall Islands, Japan, and the United States, to name a few. Our elementary school is a Title I school located in northern Utah. Over 50% of our students are receiving free or reduced-price lunches.
Many of my students live below the poverty line and come from single or broken home situations. I want my students to have the opportunity to have their educational needs met at home and school.
Social-emotional learning in the special education classroom is so important. With adding COVID-19 into the mix our students are confused about social situations and how to be successful within a classroom. Online learning has taken some of the classroom experiences out of learning and when students are faced with situations they are not familiar with or comfortable dealing with.
Social-emotional learning is learning that students from Kindergarten to college will need.
Having the books and tools in early learning helps the students feel comfortable when they are faced with choices. All learning is important and having the correct tools make it easier to deliver!
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
