Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We have an amazing opportunity to foster relationships between typical students and students with disabilities through the creation of a "Game Club." We aim to help build compassion and leadership skills in our typical peer partners as they teach others how to play and interact. Simultaneously, our students with disabilities will develop basic communication and social skills.

The goal is that through playing games together, all students will grow and develop while making lasting friendships!

In order to make this club successful, we need to stock up on simple and interactive board and card games, like Jenga, Connect 4, Candy Land, and Chutes and Ladders. Providing the games through this project is just the beginning. Learning to play and interact together is the end goal!
