Thanks to your support, our students now have access to a set of calculators that have truly transformed the way they approach math.\r\n Many of our students come from low-income households and enter our classroom already below grade level in math. This often made solving multi-step or higher-level problems an overwhelming challenge, not because they lacked potential, but because they were getting stuck on the basic calculations. These new calculators have been a powerful bridge between frustration and understanding.\r\n With these tools in hand, students are now able to focus more on the why behind the math, rather than getting bogged down by the how. They can finally engage with problem-solving strategies, algebraic thinking, and real-world applications with more confidence and less anxiety. What once took many of them several minutes to solve can now be tackled in a fraction of the time, freeing up energy for learning and exploration.","fullyFundedDate":1744033068829,"projectUrl":"project/calculated-giving-to-help-multiply-learn/9042629/","projectTitle":"Calculated Giving to Help Multiply Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Russell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9890152"},{"teacherId":9829215,"projectId":8925970,"letterContent":"Thanks to your incredible generosity, my students at Columbus Tustin Middle School in Tustin, California are more focused, engaged, and energized than ever before. Your support for our project, Staying Connected in the Classroom, has truly made a difference in both their academic success and overall classroom experience.\r\nBefore receiving the portable battery packs, many students were falling behind simply because their iPads were dead — a frustrating barrier to learning. Now, they're able to stay connected and on task throughout the day. One student shared, \"I appreciate being able to use this battery pack, it's really helped me not lose focus in class when my iPad is dead. My mom ended up buying me one. Thanks for the great idea for her!\" These small but powerful tools have helped reduce distractions and improve classroom behavior significantly.\r\nThe colorful pens have been a fun and functional addition as well. Students are using them to organize their notes, highlight important information, and make learning more visual and interactive. It's been wonderful seeing their creativity and confidence grow.\r\nAnd the snacks? They've brought more than just smiles. They've been used as both rewards and a source of nourishment when students needed an energy boost. As one student put it, \"I love these Goldfish snacks, they're my favorite! I'd rather eat these than what I was provided at school!\" It's clear that these snacks have made students feel seen and cared for — and that goes a long way.\r\nThank you for helping us build a classroom where students are set up for success in every way — academically, emotionally, and physically. Your support has been a true gift.","fullyFundedDate":1734659135228,"projectUrl":"project/staying-connected-in-the-classroom/8925970/","projectTitle":"Staying Connected In The Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Fischel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9829215"},{"teacherId":2299516,"projectId":9083395,"letterContent":"Thank you all for your generous donations to my classroom.
