This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a group of the smartest little learners in my entire school! They come from different backgrounds; some ride the bus in from far away neighborhoods and some live across the street. We are a blended Special Education and Bilingual classroom within a school that is 90%+ free or reduced-price lunch.

Pre-kindergarten is one of the most important grades in school.

It is the time when students get hooked on education. The best way to hook them is with adapted materials that will allow them to learn in an individualized way.

My Project

Young minds are focused on concrete, absolute concepts which makes it difficult to teach about some topics. Take, for example, quantum physics- how do you teach a three or four-year-old about quantum physics?

We need not worry for I have found the holy grail of books that will expose my students to new topics within social sciences and science.

Though the titles may suggest that the books are for babies, in reality, these books are geared to explain complex topics to any child who is reading about it for the first time.

My students would benefit greatly not just from books about tangible products and materials but the exposure to things like quantum physics, coding, democracy, and their own city from an early age.
