Help me give my students diverse books for our classroom library, representing our students' diverse backgrounds to inspire them to be changemakers just like the characters in these books.

This project is fully funded

My Project

At our school, we have students who are from many different backgrounds. Our students come from all over the world and are eager to learn. Our students work so hard at all academic subjects, and their growth in reading has really taken off this year. This project will give our students new titles for our Title I classroom library to give students access to new book titles that represent their cultures, family experiences, and inspiring people who look like them who have made a difference in the world.

Our Title I classroom serves our students who struggle in reading, and the more excited we can get them about reading, the bigger difference we can make in their future, and these books will give them exciting new titles to choose from.

The books in this project are a wide variety of books from graphic novels to non-fiction picture books that are about people who made a difference for others in the world, to books about cultural experiences which may be similar or different from their own. Students have been requesting many of these books, and it would be so impactful if I could provide more books for my students that they are excited to read.
