Social-Emotional Supplies for Students With Disabilities to Self-Regulate.

Help me give my students social-emotional supplies for students with disabilities to self-regulate. We need a sensory table, liquid floor mats, a mirror, and other sensory tools.

My Project

Sensory processing is so important to the emotional regulation of students. Four of my six students are autistic and seek sensory experiences and the other two students also engage in sensory-seeking explorations. Students that learn ways to regulate their emotions become more engaged in learning and have higher success outcomes.

To help students become more engaged in academics we want to build sensory regulation experiences that also build social opportunities for students with disabilities.

We have students with a range of abilities and needs. Help our students in wheelchairs and varied disabilities explore social-emotional learning through sensory explorations. Covid 19 kept many students at home affecting their social-emotional learning, academics, and self-regulation. Giving students access to sensory tools for exploration and learning will aid in their emotional regulation and socialization which will put us on the right course to help correct the loss of direct instruction during the school shutdown of Covid 19.
