This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are different and unique in their own way. Social-emotional learning is for all students. I have been adjusting my teaching style to the way they learn to help them with their social-emotional skills. These materials, such as the A Little SPOT of: SEL Book Sets, will help provide more options and social emotional activities that may help my students.

Social-emotional skills are incredibly important in special education.

They are crucial for helping students with disabilities navigate social interactions, manage emotions, and develop the skills necessary for academic and personal success. My students may face challenges in understanding and responding to social cues, which can make it difficult to build positive relationships and participate in group activities. SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) curriculum can help them develop the skills needed to interact appropriately with peers and adults.
