This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting your support in enhancing my classroom environment to better meet the social-emotional and academic needs of my young scholars. As a pre-K teacher, I strive to create a warm and welcoming space where students feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore and grow.

One essential addition to our classroom would be a beanbag chair for our cozy corner.

This space is designed to give students a calm and comfortable place to regulate their emotions, reflect, and build self-awareness. The beanbag chair will provide a soft, inviting seat where students can relax and feel secure during moments when they need comfort or time to reset. By fostering this sense of safety and calm, my goal is to help students better manage their feelings and develop essential social-emotional skills.

Additionally, I am seeking dry erase markers to support my students’ early literacy development. These markers will allow my young learners to practice writing letters, exploring their creativity and building foundational literacy skills in a fun and engaging way. Having access to these materials will empower my students to experiment, make mistakes, and grow as confident learners.
