My Project

I teach a self-contained special education class with kids in kindergarten to second grade. I would love some resources to help them with social-emotional learning. Some of these things include dry erase boards and markers, paint, baby dolls, family figurines, animals with moms and babies, emotion puzzles, shapes puzzles, and color matching rings.

My students are learning to share, take turns, and identify their feelings.

These items will help my students to practice these skills in the classroom. They will be able to draw how they are feeling, practice emotions by matching pictures to words, identify and role play with family and animal figurines and baby dolls. They will learn how to care for others by learning to be gentle and take care of the babies.

My students love to paint, and painting even engages my students that struggle to engage in other activities. My students will be so excited to see some new colors and not have to wait for me to try to mix up some colors to make one that we don't have in class.
