Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting children's picture books about growth mindset, emotions, perseverance, diversity, and kindness. In order to help my students understand their emotions, they need to learn how to express their feelings. My students need to become aware of their surroundings and be able to understand what is happening around our country.

We need to teach students how to listen to their emotions and how to cope with their stress, anxiety, and feelings so that they can be a change in this world.

I want my students to learn to be able to express themselves and how to manage their feelings. This past year has been difficult for everyone and I want to teach them empathy, grit, and perseverance. I want them to understand that it is ok to have feelings, how to channel them, and how to grow as a person. These books will also help them understand that if they express their emotions, follow their dreams, and persevere, they will succeed and make a difference. For these reasons, I am requesting all these children's books.
