This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All students need to learn to identify and manage their emotions. This can be difficult for young students. Building a library of books to teach Social Emotional Learning is so important.

Books with characters that kids can relate to help students make connections which is so important.

Having a set of books on different topics means that they can be revisited throughout the year.

When combined with direct instruction and practice all students can learn and practice empathy, kindness, emotional awareness, self-regulation, growth mindset, respect and manners, friendship, and self-esteem.
