My Project

Students enter our school with a variety of experiences. One of our goals is to prepare students for a successful life after high school.

SEL (Social Emotional Learning) is beneficial to students by increasing self-awareness, academic achievement, and positive behaviors both in and out of the classroom.

With our unique student body, it is difficult to find one single curriculum that meets the needs of all students in grades 9-12. Teachers Pay Teachers offers a plethora of SEL activities that can be used in a variety of ways. Each month, I plan activities for teacher to do weekly with their Advisory groups. The funding of this project would help tremendously!

From an academic standpoint, research has shown that students who participate in SEL programs saw an 11 percentile increase in their overall grades and better attendance.
