Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are amazing learners and always willing to learn new things. We are in a lower-income area where 100% of our students qualify to receive free or reduced-price lunch but are so amazing and always wanting to help their classmates. Our students work super hard and they are excited and eager to learn. We want to give them more and help provide engaging instruction.

My Project

We are in a unprecedented time where our, like many, are struggling to come to school due to issues they may be having at home. When we do check-ins it is important for the student and teacher to understand how the child is feeling from day to day.

An Ipad that is readily available for students to check- in with the teacher on how they are feeling is crucial in determining their success in the classroom.

This will also help me, as a teacher, track their daily emotions and identify the best route in helping ensure they are in a positive learning environment.

We will be using an APP where a student can choose their name and how they are feeling- giving me the chance to check-in on those who may be struggling for the day.
