This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing first graders in a dual immersion school. I have both high and low performing students, some even receive additional support academically throughout the week. But, they are all very eager to learn, ready to ask questions every day. It is very positive to see how exciting to learn my students are.

These little scholars have a love for school, reading and learning.

They amaze me everyday in class with their questions, behavior and classwork. I am more than happy to be their teacher this school year.

My Project

This material will make a great difference in my students' learning because it will allow them to be ready to learn. In order to learn students must be emotionally ready and this material will allow me to address the Social Emotional Learning of my students. It will allow them to learn about their emotions in order to better cope with hoy they are feeling and address the current situation with COVID-19 which has impacted us all. Our current situation is truly traumatic especially for our "littles" I want to address this in my teaching and give them a sense of power and safety through literature.
