My Students

I am fortunate enough to service 25 amazing students in Fall River. I service students in grades 1, 2, and 5. All of my students are unique in their own ways! My students' needs range from academic, to behavior, and social-emotional. Many of my students have had to deal with a lot of trauma in their young lives. Many of them need help navigating their emotions and feelings and I want to find different ways I can help them be successful!

My Project

Being a first-year teacher, I am learning different ways to help my students be successful! I am very lucky to work with some amazing students. Being in an urban environment, my students come from all different types of backgrounds. Many of my students have social-emotional deficits and trauma. I am trying to raise money in order to purchases social and emotional books written by Julia Cooks. Julia Cooks individualized her books with many different topics! Some topics include: family deployment, following rules, being unique, and being teased. These books by Julia Cooks will be a fun and interactive way to help my students to learn how to control their emotions, behaviors, and how to be successful students.
