Being a first-year teacher, I am learning different ways to help my students be successful! I am very lucky to work with some amazing students. Being in an urban environment, my students come from all different types of backgrounds. Many of my students have social-emotional deficits and trauma. I am trying to raise money in order to purchases social and emotional books written by Julia Cooks. Julia Cooks individualized her books with many different topics! Some topics include: family deployment, following rules, being unique, and being teased. These books by Julia Cooks will be a fun and interactive way to help my students to learn how to control their emotions, behaviors, and how to be successful students.
