My Project

In order to address the CSDE ESSER priorities of Learning Acceleration, Academic Renewal, Student Enrichment, and Social, Emotional, & Mental Health of Students & School Staff, the inclusion of beanbag chairs, fidget toys, and social/emotional books for students with moderate/severe disabilities can play a significant role.

Beanbag chairs provide a comfortable and flexible seating option that enhances learning and concentration.

They promote independence and self-regulation, while also providing sensory input and better posture for students' physical and mental well-being.

Fidget toys are beneficial tools that help students manage restlessness, anxiety, or sensory overload, allowing them to better participate in class. By providing a variety of fidget toys, schools can cater to the individual needs and preferences of each student, promoting a more inclusive learning environment.

Social/emotional books support the social, emotional, and mental health of students with disabilities. They address self-awareness, empathy, and emotional regulation, fostering a sense of belonging and promoting positive relationships. Integrating these books into the curriculum creates opportunities for meaningful discussions and reflections, enhancing overall well-being.

In conclusion, the inclusion of beanbag chairs, fidget toys, and social/emotional books for students with moderate/severe disabilities contributes to Learning Acceleration, Academic Renewal, Student Enrichment, and Social, Emotional, & Mental Health of Students & School Staff. These resources provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promote independence, self-regulation, and social-emotional development. By investing in these resources, schools empower students with disabilities to thrive academically and emotionally, ensuring their holistic growth and well-being.
