Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is a Title I school and with that comes few funds. These kids don't let anything get in their way. The only thing these students want is to be loved and experience a positive educational atmosphere. There is no amount of money that can buy the passion and excitement my third graders have for learning. Their happiness and pure joy is exactly how I know we were all meant to be together. My third-grade class wants to change the world one positive statement at a time and they will not stop until they get there.
Education to them is the one thing that is consistent and stable.
With that being said, I take my job of making sure they are all loved, feel safe, and are academically supported very seriously. These kids have a passion to become heroes in their community and they will be!
My Project
These social emotional learning books will help support my kids as they are feeling stress, anxiety, and the unknown feelings they are experiencing. These amazing books will allow me to be culturally sensitive and have deep thoughtful conversations with my kids to help them understand what to do when they are feeling unhappy or uneasy. They need the skills in order to get through tough situations they are facing. These books will support them as they are trying to tackle and face the challenges we call life. Thank you for your time in considering my kiddos.
