My Project

My goal for my room is to create an inclusive environment where my students feel comfortable and safe. I am a Special Education teacher leading a Positive Approach to Student Success (PASS) room that focuses on inclusion for students with behavior disorders. I have a calm corner currently that is plain except for the expectations of the area. It needs to give off a warm and inviting vibe so students can sit and refocus their emotions positively. The seat is one of hopefully more that allows options for the students coming in the room during social learning and for alternate seating for other groups. The snacks are part of a point system that rewards students for following expectations and succeeding with their behavioral goals.
