Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As part of this ongoing initiative, we are excited to introduce a new resource to our classrooms: the Calm Corner.
The Calm Corner is designed to be a safe, welcoming space where students can practice self-regulation and mindfulness.
Equipped with calming tools such as stress balls, sensory items, reflective prompts, and breathing exercises, the Calm Corner aims to empower students to navigate their emotions constructively.
We believe this addition will enhance our classroom curriculum and provide students with practical strategies to manage stress, build resilience, and maintain focus. Our educators have been trained to guide students in using this space effectively, ensuring that it becomes a valuable part of their learning experience.
