My Project

Our social-emotional guinea pigs are utilized in lessons centered around helping others, giving back to the community, and social skills! My students love reading and talking to Bailey and her sister! These treats, toys, cage liners, and cleaners will help us continue to care for Bailey and her sister, Fur Baby. We also recently added two more girls, Maple and Caramel!

Studies have shown that animal therapy can benefit children in many ways, including teaching self-control and social skills, and teaching them the importance of caring for others and giving back to society.

Class pets have also been shown to be beneficial in the areas of social skill building, educational lessons on the life cycle, and teaching responsibility to young students.

Thank you for considering my project!
