My Project

I am the librarian in my building, and a grant was recently provided for new furniture in my space, which will provide a comfortable space for students to meet in small groups. This particular grant provided only furniture, not fidgets and other social-emotional need items. I would love to incorporate the sensory items and snacks requested into my group time.

I have a calming space in the library where students can come to relax, read, or just decompress.

I feel as though these items, especially the fidgets and social-emotional items will provide a sense of calming to the students who attend my groups on a weekly basis.
