My Project

My second-grade classroom is a place of respect, encouragement, learning, and wonder. Students spend this year learning the foundation of knowledge and skills they will need to be successful in their education and in life. The students are second graders in a rural North Carolina elementary school. My students are excited to explore literature and to learn how to have habits to make you a happy person. It is my goal to expand their capacity for learning using Social Emotional Games to enrich our knowledge of self!

We are kind humans!

We live in a time where our world is going through so much! I would love to teach my students how to take charge of their happiness and be responsible citizens. Using social emotional texts and learning games will help reinforce the skills needed to succeed in life.

Social emotional learning is so important for the elementary child!

You cannot start too young. My second-grade students love it when it is time to learn about a new character trait or healthy habit! We love to sing, journal, and discuss the ways to make ourselves more responsible people. I would love to use these games to reinforce their learning during our social studies block.
