My Project

The children I serve have experienced things; adults could not even imagine. Yet, they show up. My students are bold, funny, inquisitive and capable. Life has dealt some of them, and their parents, a bad hand. This does not make them bad or undeserving of nice things. This project will allow me the opportunity to share quality books with them.

Childhood trauma has lasting effects.

The books I have chosen will give students a deeper understanding of their emotions. They will learn ways to cope and deal with the trauma. The books in this project will help me to teach social emotional learning.
