Social, Emotional, and Mental Well-Being for Our KHS Students!

My Project

The challenges of interrupted learning from COVID-19 have impacted our students. The materials I am requesting will greatly enhance my students' learning environment by addressing both their academic and social-emotional needs. The aromatherapy diffuser will create a calming atmosphere in the counseling center, helping students manage stress and anxiety. The airtight storage container will allow for the organized storage of snacks and materials, ensuring that students always have access to fresh supplies. Nutritious energy bars will help sustain students' energy throughout the school day, supporting their ability to concentrate and remain productive. Additionally, quick and easy meals like ramen noodles will provide nourishment for students who may not have consistent access to food.

The mini air purifier will improve air quality, promoting better concentration and reducing allergies, contributing to a healthier and more focused school environment.

Emotional support tools, like the Squishmallows plush toys and plush nuggets, will help students practice self-regulation during moments of stress. The wobble stool will provide active seating options for students who have difficulty sitting still, enabling them to stay engaged.

Furthermore, the ACT workbook will offer valuable strategies to students dealing with anxiety, improving their overall wellbeing, while the Counseling Psychology book will allow counselors to provide evidence-based, informed counseling practices. Lastly, the candy variety pack will serve as a fun incentive for positive behavior, participation, and engagement in counseling.

My goal for this project is to create an environment that supports not only academic growth but also the emotional and mental health of my students. These items will help foster an environment where students feel safe, supported, and motivated to learn. My students are special because they are resilient and eager to succeed despite facing personal and academic challenges. They deserve a safe space that nurtures their minds and well-being.
