I teach 5-8 year-olds with a variety of intellectual, physical, and sensory impairments in a District 75 school. I work in a 6:1:1 classroom with 6 students. My students are all classified with autism and have various abilities.
My students are fantastic, and with the right tools to fit their needs, they will achieve everything possible.
I make sure to create a comfortable, happy environment for my students in order for them to succeed. My students are amazing and they make me proud each day and make me happy to do what I do.
My Project
These desks will help my student's social distance. Most of my students have a hard time keeping on masks and face shields, so to help them I have requested to get them desks to help them social distance within our classroom.
Due to COVID, we need these desks to help them social distance, for them to have their personal space where they can store their individualized items.
These desks will give the students a sense of personal space and help them learn what it means to give other people personal space.
